Approving posts

Kidblog's moderation tools have been designed to provide a flexible and efficient workflow for teachers to help their students publish their posts and comments safely for an authentic audience.

When posts and comments are set to require teacher approval, the teacher will need to "okay" this content before it is visible to an audience.

Step-by-step: Approving Posts

1) Pending approval status

When viewing the list of posts in the class, the orange audience (Teacher) and darker background of the tile indicates that this post was published by a student but has a pending audience that requires teacher approval.

2) Approving the post

The teacher can view the post to determine if more revision is necessary or if it is ready to go. If it is ready to publish, click the current audience (highlighted in orange), which brings up the popup screen below. The pending audience which the student requested is pre-selected. If the teacher clicks "Publish" that audience request will be granted, and the post will be published.

3) Expanding the audience

The teacher and student may decide that this post deserves to be available to a broader audience. If so the teacher can simply approve the expanded audience which then will be displayed in the list of posts for the class.

The teacher may want to bulk approve and publish student posts...
