Filtering

The Kidblog platform promotes class collaboration by displaying all published posts on the main class page. In search of a specific post or author? Use our filters to easily locate specific class content.

All posts can be filtered by status, author, audience, pending audience, month, tag, or category. Comments can be filtered by author, replying to, month, or status. These filters can be found by clicking the "Show Filters" just above your class posts.

Filter Shortcuts

Additionally, there are shortcuts on the homepage that allow you to filter by status, pending approval, author, tag or category even more easily.

By Status

You can easily search for a post based on its current status by using the filter tools at the top of the class page.

To filter to show only posts with a common status (i.e. Draft), simply click the small 'x' on the statuses of those posts you wish to remove from your current class view.

Once those status labels are removed, only the remaining posts will show on your class home page at that time.

By "Pending Approval"

Content that needs approval from the teacher can be quickly found by clicking the orange "bubble" on the tab at the top of the list. This will automatically filter for published posts with a "pending" audience that the student has requested but still needs teacher approval. The approval process is described in more detail here.

By Author

Posts may also be filtered by post author. To do so, simply select the author's name from the Members list.

By Category or Tag

To filter the class homepage to show only posts under a specific category or with a particular tag, select the desired category or tag from the class sidebar.

Please note, by refreshing the homepage, all filters will be removed and all posts within the class will be visible once again.
